La página dice que han construido estos esquís en Canadá para celebrar los 100 años de independencia de Noruega tras su separación de Suecia. Fue un acto organizado por la Embajada Noruega y una competición deportiva de Canadá. La demostración fue en un parque de Ottawa.

Skiing: New world record
The Norwegian Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, was an active participant when a new world record was set for the highest number of <a href="[

100 <a href="[

Norway's Ambassador Ingvard Havnen was lead man when the record was set in a park in the Canadian capital, Ottawa.
- To coordinate the movement of 100 persons on skis 100 metre long skis is a real challenge, Havnen says.
"The Centennial Ski" was a cooperation between the Norwegian Embassy in Ottawa and the Keskinanda Race, Canada's biggest ski competition.
The 100-metre long pair of skis was hand made in Canada, but the especially made ski points were imported from Norway.
The new world record will now be found in the Giuness Book of Records, NRK reports."
