Andrea Mead Lawrence:

She began to compete when she was 10 years old (1942) and won her first major race when she was 15, when she won the Olympic Tryout Slalom (qualifying to take part in the 1948 Olympic Slalom). Later she was the youngest skier (18 years old) to win the Harrigan Cup in downhill, slalom and combined.
