Un poco de historia de la estación de
Pontresina - Suiza:
Gracias a los hallazgos de algunos objetos en la región de
Pontresina parecen indicar que los primeros asentamientos en la zona se remontan a la
Edad de Bronce. La primera mención de
Pontresina se hizo en la “
Carta Gamertinger” en el período de
1137 a
1139. El nombre de
Pontresina proviene de “
Ponte sarasinae” en referencia a un puente construido por hombre que se llamaba
Saraschin. Ya en el Edad Media, una gran cantidad de personas comenzaron a cruzar el puerto de “
Bernina”. La llegada del tren se produjo en el verano de
1910, concretamente el 5 de Julio, convirtiendo asi a
Pontresina en un destino de lo que se dio en llamar “turismo de salud” y de esqui.
No seria hasta
1937cuando se construyo el primer remonte, el teleski “
Channtatsch”, y en
1945 el primer telesilla “
Alp Languard”. En
1956 se construyo el primer funicular “
Diavolezza” que estuvo en servicio hasta
1980, cuando fue sustituido por un nuevo funicular, que a día de hoy aún esta en servicio.

Various objects found in the Pontresina region seem to indicate that the first settlements in the area date back to the Bronze Age. First official mention of Pontresina was made in the Gamertinger charter in the period from 1137 to 1139. The name Pontresina is derived from 'Ponte sarasinae', which refers to a bridge built by a man called Saraschin. As early as the Middle Ages, a great deal of people started crossing the Bernina mountain pass. Full summer railway service started on July 5th, 1910, and it was around that time that Pontresina became a ski tourist and health resort .
It was not until 1937 when the first ski lift was built "Channtatsch" and in 1945 the first chairlift "Alp Languard". In 1956 Construction of "Diavolezza" cable railway, that was in service until 1980, when he was replaced by a new funicular, that is still in service today.
