Por las Tierras de Aran: el Portillón. :+: El Coll del Portillón es un paso fronterizo que separa el valle de Aran y Francia, a través del cual se llega a Luchon. Es una corta carretera de montaña que parte de Bossost a 710m. y en unos 8km. llegas al puerto. En ruta por el Coll del Portillón (Eth Portilhon en aranés) nos encontramos con un majestuoso paisaje nevado a pesar de su escasa altitud, a tan solo 1.293m. en el puerto. Es uno de los bosques de coníferas más importantes del valle de Aran y uno de los más antiguos. La carretera parecía de otro mundo, nos quedamos extasiados con tanta nieve, hay que ver lo que es la vertiente norte. Pasen y vean... Y donde además pudimos conocer a unos cuantos foreros más que han estado esta semana esquiando en BB con quienes cenamos en Vielha (un abrazo para todos ellos) y en especial para Salardú y su familia porque nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Yo estuve n luchon de viernes a domingo y el domingo a la vuelta hicimos fotos del portillon y la verdad es que quedamos asombrados de su belleza!!
por cierto silver&pyrene por casualidad esas fotos no las harias el domingo a medio dia?lo digo pk alomejor fuisteis vosotros quien nos echo una foto aun grupo de amigos,

es soprendente la diferencia entre las caras norte y sur.
Yo suelo esquiar en Astun, y en el mismo puerto de somport la direfencia suele ser brutal. La nieve dura muchisimo mas tiempo, por lo que suele haber mucha mas, el frio mas intenso se nota en el paisaje, nieve acumulada en los arboles...
Si alguno va a esquiar a candanchu o astun, les aconsejo que vayan a la frontera y bajen por el antiguo puerto (por la zona francesa). Luego se vuelve tranquilamente por el túnel de canfranc. Merece la pena.
