Al Monner ha sido un fotografo que nos dejó imagenes increíbles de nieve, que fotografió a inicios de los años 30 las montañas de Oregon.

Al Monner was a photographer who made incredible pictures of snow, taken in the beggining of the 30´s in the mountains of Oregon.

Al Monner empezó a hacer fotografia en Abril del 1928 y su primera foto que fue publicada la obtuvó en Enero del 1929, un paisaje que seria publicado en Noviembre de 1930.

Al Monner began photography in April 1928, and he took his first photo that sold to a publication in January 1929, a landscape that was published in November 1930.

Subió por primera vez el Mt. Hood, en el estado norteamericano de Oregon, el 22 de Junio del 1930, para hacer fotografias. Subiria esa montaña muchas otras veces en el año siguiente, muchas veces acompañado del fotografo Ray Atkeson.

He first climbed Mt Hood on June 22, 1930 and photographed there. He went to the top ofthe mountain several more times over the next year, accompanied at times by photographer Ray Atkeson.

Al Monner se convirtio en un experto de la fotografia en invierno y en 1940 publicó su primer articulo tecnico sobre fotografia en el Anuario Americano de Fotografia, bajo el titulo "Winter Mountain Photography Above the Timberline” con consejos sobre como fotografiar en condiciones extremas de hielo y nieve.

Al Monner would became an expert on winter photography and in 1940 he published his first technical photography article in the American Annual of Photography. titled "Winter Mountain Photography Above the Timberline", with advices for photographing in freezing snow conditions.
