Hola. Os copio y pego la información que nos ha llegado para aquellos que queréis viajar a Canadá. Ojo a los de una dósis de Astra Zeneca + Haber pasado la enfermedad. En Europa es válido, pero no en Canadá

Dear Partner,

Further to our communication of July 19th, we have assembled a summary of additional details regarding the requirements of international travellers arriving into Canada by air as of September 7, 2021. Whilst Canada is celebrating its reopening and is excited to welcome international visitors once again, it is important to equip travellers with the relevant information to ensure that they can enter Canada and enjoy their holidays.

Vaccinations
• All travellers 12 years and older will need to be double vaccinated with any combination of the four approved vaccines in Canada: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen/Johnson&Johnson (Janssen/Johnson&Johnson can be the single dose version).
• In Europe if you have had COVID-19 and one vaccination you are considered fully vaccinated. This is not sufficient for travel to Canada. Travellers must have received either two doses of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or one dose of the single dose Johnson&Johnson vaccine. Currently, Canada is accepting mixed dosing of any of the approved vaccines.
• Full vaccination according to the above standards must be completed at least 14 days prior to travel.

Children Under 12 Travelling with Parents / Guardians
• Unvaccinated children under 12 may enter Canada with their fully vaccinated parents / guardians, but must avoid group settings, camps or daycare during the first 14 days after their arrival.
• Unvaccinated children between the ages of 5 -11 are subject to testing on Day 1 and Day 8 of their vacation. Should they test positive, the parent / guardian’s quarantine plan will be enacted. See below for more details on the quarantine plan.

Prior to departure PCR Test or Prior Positive test result
• A PCR test must be completed within 72 hours before arrival into Canada. Rapid antigen tests are not accepted at this time.
• The test results must display in English or French or with a certified translation. The test results must have the following information:
o Name and Date of birth of person tested
o Name and address of the laboratory
o Date the specimen was collected
o Test method used
o Test result
• Alternatively clients can show a positive test result on a sample collected between 14 and 180 days prior to boarding. This test shows the traveller has previously contracted and fully recovered within this time frame and is considered adequately protected with natural immunity.

ArrivCan app
• All travellers must upload their information to the ArriveCan App / web portal 72 hours before arrival into Canada
• Required in addition to the traveller’s personal information is vaccination status, the traveller’s quarantine plan and contact information while travelling in Canada. See below for details regarding the quarantine plan.
• New version of ArriveCan App / web portal will be launched on September 7, 2021.

Random Testing of Vaccinated Travellers
• A small percentage of vaccinated travellers will be chosen at random to be tested upon arrival into Canada at the airport. The traveller does not have to wait at the airport for test results – they can continue through Arrivals to their first booked accommodation and will be contacted if the test is returned as positive.
• Should the traveller test positive, they will be contacted and their quarantine plan will be implemented. At this point, they will be quarantined at their designated quarantine plan hotel until they test negative. See below for more details regarding this contingency.

Quarantine Plan in the event of a Covid infection
• Travellers will need to submit a plan to be enacted in case they are diagnosed with COVID-19, either by random testing or by their own choice to get tested while in Canada. Quarantine hotels do not need to be pre-booked and no evidence of a booking is required.
• We suggest that the travellers’ first hotel on their itinerary to be noted as the location of their quarantine if required.
• The cost of the quarantine is the responsibility of the traveller, which they would pay directly to the hotel.

All the above information reflects the current procedures and requirements as outlined by the federal government of Canada and public health authorities. They remain subject to change, depending on local and national public health conditions.

Un abrazo
Nacho Campos
